The Member of Parliament for Kwadaso Constituency, Honourable Owusu Afriyie Akoto has expressed worry about the unfair treatment and poor living conditions of farmers in the country.
He said, resources allocated to farmers are not enough and that has led to the poor living conditions of many Ghanaian farmers. He has described this year’s farmer’s day celebration as hypocritical and is just covering up the poor state of farmers.
He told Kapital Radio , a kumasi based radio station, he said that the living conditions of farmers should be enhanced and improved. He added that farmers should be celebrated everyday because they are the live line of the country.
He added that measures should be put in place to improve the prosperity of the farming business and income of the farmers. He added that rural health condition should be strengthened.
